Podcasting

How Do Create A Podcast With TypePad?

Answer

What is "Podcasting?"
Podcasting is a method of publishing media via the Internet, and allowing users to subscribe to a feed of new files. Podcasts are most often audio files (usually in MP3 format), but can technically be any multimedia file format including video. The supported file formats are:
mp3
ogg
3gp
m4p
m4b
mp4
mov
mpg
avi
mpeg
wmv
rm
Inserting a Podcast File in Your Weblog Post
If the podcast file is a multimedia file you've created on your own computer, you can Insert the File in a Post. You can also put a link in your post to a multimedia file elsewhere on the internet.
When you create a post on TypePad that includes a multimedia file like this, that file immediately becomes discoverable as a podcast via your weblog's podcast feed (What is a feed?). This allows others to subscribe to your podcasts and be notified when new ones become available.
Please note that if your weblog is password protected, you will not be able to do podcasting as the multimedia files will not be added to your podcast feed.
Add Your Podcast Feed to Your Sidebar
To make it easier for others to subscribe to your podcast feed, select the "Podcast Link" option in your weblog's content selections.
